Hide ads, suggested posts and noise on LinkedIn

To hide ads, suggested posts and “liked this” activity in your LinkedIn feed, install UnAlgorithm Feed, a free extension for Chrome. It works on your LinkedIn home feed straight away, with no setup and no account, and folds each post it hides into a thin line you can open again.

What UnAlgorithm hides on LinkedIn

Pick a strength once; you can change it anytime from the toolbar and the feed updates live.

Balanced is the recommended strength: it shows what you asked for, the people and pages you follow, and folds away what you didn’t.

How it works

  • In your browser. UnAlgorithm reads the LinkedIn page you already have open and decides which posts to fold away. The rules make no network requests, and it never clicks, scrolls, posts or follows anything for you.
  • A thin line, not a gap. A hidden post becomes a line like “Hidden · Promoted · Show”. Click Show to read it.
  • Why? Every hidden post says what was detected and offers one-click fixes, such as “Always show this person” or “Stop hiding suggested posts”, with Undo.
  • For you. Pick a few interests and posts about them get a quiet highlight, using keywords or, if you turn it on, AI.
  • Fails open. If LinkedIn changes its layout and detection looks wrong, UnAlgorithm stops hiding and tells you, rather than hiding posts by mistake.

Smarter filtering with AI (optional)

With AI on, UnAlgorithm can also fold away engagement bait, rage bait and clickbait, and in Calm, posts that don’t match your interests. You choose where AI runs: Chrome’s on-device model, your own API key, or a local model. Only a post’s text and a few facts about it are sent, never the author’s name. Compare the AI options.

Good to know

  • LinkedIn must be set to English for now.
  • It works in Chrome, or another Chromium-based browser, version 130 or newer, on a computer.
  • It’s free and open source, and it never asks for your LinkedIn password or account.
